Can both of us walk down the aisle? Yes, whether this is at the same time together, separately one after the other or potentially even different sides of the room if your ceremony space is in the barn.
Can the ceremony chairs be laid out in a different way? In the barn, we have had many ways of setting out the ceremony chairs. Let us know your vision and we will do our best to make this work. We may need some time to test this out to make sure we can accommodate all the guests with a seat, but we are welcome to try anything. Unfortunately, there is not much give with the positioning of the ceremony chairs if you are wanting an outside ceremony due to the positioning of the gazebo, but we are welcome to new ideas!
Food & Drink Questions
How can we feed our suppliers? Only certain suppliers need to have a meal during their time at the venue. This will be anyone there for a longer period of time, like your photographer or band etc. This can be added on for £12.50 and they will have a 1 course meal supplied for them.
Can we bring in food suppliers? This will need to be pre-approved by the weddings team. We are open to new suppliers but if we can make the food ourselves then we would try and do this for you and cut out the middleman. Just let us know what you are thinking, and we can speak to the chefs and see if they can accommodate this.
Can we have alternative drinks to those you stock? This will depend on what it is you are asking for. If it is something we can get in then we are more than happy to do so. We need to know what exactly it is and how much of it you are wanting so we can speak to our bar manager and see if we can get this for you.
What will my guests eat if they have allergies? Any allergies or dietary requirements will be catered for separately for their individual needs. We would need to see what the allergies or dietary requirements are beforehand and if necessary, speak to the chef to see what they can have. The best way to do this is note their allergies or dietary requirements next to their name when you send through your seating plan to us.
Accommodation Questions
Do you have any rooms with disabled access? Our accessible room is room 11. There is a ramp the other end of the corridor in the coach house, and the room is much more spacious with wider door frames and a wet room to make manoeuvring around the room easier with frames or wheelchairs.
Can we book to stay the night before our wedding? Yes, but this is subject to availability. Any rooms available the night before will be released for bookings 3 months prior, if there is no function the day before. If staying the night before is essential, we recommend considering the cottages instead.
Other Useful Questions
Will I have a direct point of contact? After you have had your first planning meeting, you will be assigned a wedding host who will be doing any of your further meetings and will then be there on the day. However, when times are busier and your host is out of the office, on their day off, or on annual leave, then the rest of the weddings team will help you with anything needed so that you are not waiting.
When/where do we drop our décor off and do we need to decorate? We will book in a décor drop for two to four days before your wedding. Our team ensure that the decorating will be done for you and we will talk through how you want everything at the décor drop.
Do you have a limit on how many children we can invite? We have facilities for a maximum of 20 children. If you have more than 10 children between the age of 3 and 12, supervised entertainment is required e.g. Bouncy castle from one of our recommended suppliers or a creche.
Can we put money behind the bar? Yes, this can be arranged for you prior to the day with certain rules and times or you can set up a tab on the day too.
Do we have to pre-book taxis? We recommend that taxis are pre-booked for. We have a list of local taxi companies that regularly come to and from us. Check this out on our recommended suppliers page under transport.
