Children at weddings tend to get bored if there are no provisions for them. Their parents then have a job keeping them entertained which can be tiresome all day and evening. We regularly have feedback from guests saying that they were so pleased with the entertainment or activities that were provided for the children as it meant that all ages had fun and parents could relax and enjoy the day.
We recommend:
Activity packs (with pencils only please) for the table, particularly to 'entertain' during speeches
Just prior to speeches beginning, giving the children a quiz, toy or activity to keep them amused
DVD’s that can be played in the lounge in the evening when young children are tired, or bringing board games for them to play often goes down well too.
Wedding's with over 10 Children aged 5-12 years attending the whole day require some form of substantial entertainment or supervision - dressing up boxes, hiring a crèche or children's entertainment company, magicians, having a Bouncy castle or fairground games are all good ideas. Please note that children have to be fully supervised by their parents or a care provider, at all times whilst at the venue.
Safety note - please note the photo garden will be closed* for the evening as this area is not fully visible from the patio due to the slope and this is not safe for children to be in unsupervised as it leads down to the waters edge. (*If you have a fire pit the garden will remain open as staff are in the garden at all times)
